FAQ about wedding

Hopefully this will give you some idea of what’s happening with the wedding.  I’m looking forward to seeing you all.

What’s happening?  We have a gathering planned for Saurday evening at Rockford’s Place, a coffee shop in town.  We will have a light sandwich supper and some music.  On Sunday, there will be the wedding and reception at our church, then a ‘Fete Accompli’ which is an ending party- a bbq to celebrate the wedding at the Convention Center Inn.

Where to stay?  We have some rooms reserved under the name Cisney at the Convention Center Inn.  Rooms there have a mini fridge, and there is a cold breakfast available.  Smoking rooms are also available.  If you want to try other lodging, ther are a few motels in Central City (anyone who knows, knows my feelings on this)  CCI has no web presence.  Their number is 800.475.6318

How to get there.  I am sure you all know google maps?  It’s the best right?  Well, here’s the gist, just in case.

From the north:  You should be driving on I-65 south.  Exit #91 to the Ford/Western Kentucky Parkway at Elizabethtown.  (remember the movie, YOU’RE THERE! and it’s just as exciting)  Continue 79 miles to exit #58 -Central City/Drakesboro.  Turn left, then left again at the traffic light (Everyly Bros. Blvd.)  The Converntion Center Inn is about 3 1/2 miles ahead on the right.

From the south:  In Nashville, take I-24 W out of town (towards Clarksville)  Continue on I-24 W into Kentucky and take exit 86 (Hopkinsville- US 41 N)  Turn right and stay on 41 for 8.7 miles.  Just past Wal-Mart, turn right onto Breathitt/Pennyrile Parkway N.  Continue to the Ford/Western Kentucky Parkway East- exit 34A.  Stay on the parkway to exit 58.  Turn right, then left at the light (Everly Bros. Blvd.)  see about to CCI

To get to town from the Convention Center Inn, turn right out of the parking lot; go to the first traffic light, turn right.  Turn left at the stop sign onto Main Street.  You will pass the fast food restaurants.  Continue south on Main Street to the second traffic light - Rockford’s is on the left at the light (parking on the street), and the church is ahead one block on Main Street.  There should be street parking available, but the lot in back may be accessed by the alley just past the church.

What to wear?  Saturday supper and Sunday bbq are casual.  The wedding and reception are at church, so typical wedding attire for them.  Winter weather can change rapidly, so check forecasts.

I hope this helps a bit, let me know, through whatever channels, if you have anymore questions.  See you there!
